Schedule a Field Study

Those teachers who have successfully completed the summer teacher/ranger institute or a workshop in one or more of the Bridging the Watershed curricululm modules are eligible to request a field study. If you have not had any training in teaching the BTW curricula, please check for upcoming Training Opportunities.

If you are eligible and would like to request a field study, please fill in the following form as completely as possible. This form represents ONE field study only. If you wish to request more than one field study, please return to this page and fill out the form as many times as necessary.

Some parks have restrictions on what modules can be done and at what time of year. To enable you to better plan your field study experience, download the Field Study Restrictions spreadsheet to see the complete list.

At times, our scheduling system experiences technical difficulties due to the high volume of field study requests. If you do not hear back from the Field Study Scheduler via email in 2 business days from the time you submit your request, please email BTW Inquiries with the details that you have included in your web request form (below) or call 301.292.8757. Thank you for your assistance and patience.

Note: Though every attempt is made to honor field study preferences, park and date availability depend on the parks' schedules. Site assignments are also ultimately the decision of the individual parks.
